Spruced Up Sprout Recipe!
Sprouts. They’re famous for being a ‘marmite’ kind of food! But we’re here to tell you, it doesn’t always need to be boil them to death – they can be tasty too!
1 kg trimmed sprouts
1teaspoon veg oil ( or oil of choice)
1 cm piece of fresh ginger
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
Sesame seed oil
Boil sprouts in water for 7 mins until soft and halve
Heat oil in a large frying pan
Fry the ginger for 30 seconds and then cut into into matchstick pieces
Add the sprouts and fry for 3 minutes
Top with sesame seeds and sesame seed oil
The above recipe could be amended by adding Chorizo and Hazelnuts instead of ginger and Sesame seeds
You would need 150g of Chorizo chopped and fried for 2 minutes. Add sprouts as cooked before and then top with toasted hazelnuts.
