Hot Chocolate Run Series team up with the Drummond Clinic

The Hot Chocolate Run Series team is delighted to announce that they are joining forces with the Drummond Clinic; a revolutionary Berkshire-based physical therapy and rehabilitation centre.

This is a fantastic opportunity for those taking part, as the Drummond Clinic are the very best in the business. Their methods are two-fold: they ‘educate’ their clients on how their body should move, and then ‘re-educate’ their body learns to hold itself and move correctly. They fix problems through education, vastly reducing the chance of recurring issues. They will be on-hand to assist and advise all Hot Chocolate runners at every event this year.

Alex Drummond, Senior Physiotherapist and Owner of the Drummond Clinic says,

“We will provide huge benefits to all participants at the events. As well as pre & post run massage, we are providing an injury prevention and rehabilitation triage centre – so every participant has access to our world-class physiotherapists, exercise physiologists and massage therapists”

And Martyn Edwards, Event Director of the Hot Chocolate Run Series is just as excited about the new partnership. He says, “The goal of the Hot Chocolate Series is simple: it is not just about the running. Entrants will love our welcoming and supportive environment. Alex and our team will really help us fulfill that, offering the ‘full package’ for everyone taking part.”

The innovative new series launched in the UK last month, offering running events ‘with a difference’. Set at the 2012 Olympic rowing venue of Dorney Lake in Windsor, the friendly events invite all ages and abilities to take part in a running event on a flat course. Runners can choose from a 5km right up to a half marathon. And the best bit? After crossing the finish line, you are rewarded with a delicious cup of hot chocolate, with toppings ranging from marshmallows and chocolate sprinkles to whipped cream and chopped nuts!

The next Hot Chocolate Run Series Events will be held on the following dates:

Race 2: Saturday February 21st 2015

Hot Chocolate Half Marathon: Saturday March 21st 2015

Race 3: Sunday March 22nd 2015

Race 4: Saturday April 18th 2015.

So what are you waiting for? Rally up your family and friends and be a part of this exciting new run series.
