WHO is processing & holding your data?

Drummond Physiotherapy controls and processes your data.

WHY do you need my personal data? 

It is a legal requirement for Health Professionals such as Physiotherapists and Sports Rehabilitators to keep an accurate and up to date record of all treatments and anything connected with your treatment.

WHAT kind of data do you hold?

We are required by law to hold data regarding your personal details including your name, address, DOB, email and telephone number as well as information relating to your health as well anything else that may be relevant to your case. We may also hold data regarding your private health insurance where applicable.

For HOW LONG will you keep the data?

We will continue to hold your data for the purpose of future treatment unless specifically requested to delete it from our system.

Medical Record Data

As the treatment records we hold are of a medical nature we are required to hold them for 8 years.

WHERE will it be stored/held?

Your data is held in a cloud based storage system controlled by a company called TM3, a patient and practice management software company owned by Blue Zinc. All written referrals, reports and consent forms related to you are scanned into this storage system and the original copies are shredded. If you have consented to receive our marketing your email address is also held within our Constant Contact (www.constantcontact.com) account which is password secure.

WHO do you SHARE the data with?

We do not share the data you give us without permission from you as the patient. 

CAN I SEE what data you hold for myself?

You are entitled to access the information that is held about you at any time. You will need to contact us in writing or email to request this. You should expect to receive this information within a month of request.


At the initial appointment you will be requested to fill in a consent form which will include your data and you will be asked to consent that you have read and understood this privacy policy and consented for your data to be used and stored in this way.

If you have filled in a consent form prior to May 25th 2018 and you are continuing with ongoing Physiotherapy you will be not be asked to fill in a new consent form.
