Running Gait Assessment

If you are looking to improve your running technique, run faster, run more efficiently, recover from injury or stay injury free, then a running gait analysis is a great place to start. Our running assessment combines our standard gait analysis with a critical look at your running technique.

Conducted by movement specialists, our running assessment is designed to have a look at how efficiently you run. The assessment consists of a full exercise & injury profile, followed by video analysis of your current run technique taken from different angles using video analysis software.

What we will look at in your running assessment:

  • Overall function and stability
  • How your feet strike the ground
  • The amount of strides per minute you take (cadence)
  • How long your stride is
  • What position your body position is in
  • How much upper body involvement is occurring
  • How effective your footwear is

With the outcomes of the assessment we will be able to get a full profile of your running ability (technical) and then suggest a suitable course of action to progress you.
